In other news...

My pork postcards arrived today!

I was naturally very excited to see them all printed up, three of the designs look really lovely.  However I'm not so convinced by the two on the bottom row.  The chap (the round thing on the right) will have to be done again because it looks hideous.  I'm also not convinced by the colour of the pig trotter on the left, its pretty... luminous, ugh.  My boyfriend has spent the evening trying to convince me that it's fine but I'm not so sure.

I might alter both, send them off and pray they turn out better.  I'm interested to know what other people reckon, since it's often hard to see the wood for the trees in these cases.  Thoughts, anyone?

P.S. My unreserved thanks to Vinesh, who helped me sort the mini-profile bit in the followers list so that people can actually GET to my blog (yes, I am a bit of a noob at this, please excuse my ignorance).

  1. Hey i think they all look really good, and work well as a set. I can't see anything wrong with the colours, it's just because u know what the original was like, but no-one else does! they look great to me xxx

  2. Haha, yes you definitely have a point. Why can't they just make printers that you load with your choice of paint and it makes exact fascimiles of your work? One can dream...

Thanks for your opinion honey, I really appreciate it xxx

  5. they all look good to me! however if you have isues with colournow a good thing to remember is that all preinters are calibrated differently - i got one of my books done at a different company and it came back four tones brighter than my original artwork (was not impressed!) some companies do free trial prints so use those to work out which company works best with your work.

fantastic set of postcards though they look bloody brilliant :)
